  20. Well, the applets can go (\OS2\APPS), if you like.  So can the
  21. optional bitmaps (\OS2\BITMAP), the Tutorial, online documentation you
  22. don't need, Win-OS/2 (if you don't use it), utilities you don't use
  23. (like TREE or QBASIC), and a few other odds and ends.

  25. More RAM (and not necessarily more CPU) will help OS/2 immensely, so,
  26. if you are considering an upgrade, concentrate your efforts there
  27. first.

  29. You can run without the Workplace Shell and use a "lighter," alternate
  30. shell.  I suggest Mr. File/PM (filename mrfilepm.zip, available via
  31. anonymous ftp from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu; see /pub/os2/00Index for
  32. location).  See the OS/2 FAQ List for some other tips.
