- Only if you don't shut it down. And that's CHKDSK doing the slowdown.
- RUnning CHKDSK after a crash is something that DOS users should do as
- well, IMO. And I haven't had a system crash so bad that CTRL-ALT-DEL
- couldn't get me out of it - CHKDSK doesn't have to run in that case.
