-
- It's simple once you read about it. (That $7 is well spent, believe
- me.)
-
- Basically you can do a redirected install from any drive, networked or
- otherwise. You just set up copies of the diskettes on a server (or
- even on your local drive, in your case) and tell the installation
- program to read from there. The copies are done using a specific
- directory structure (and a program is supplied with OS/2 2.0 which
- will set it up for you).
-
- Actually, since you're at the University of Chicago, you don't even
- need to spend the $7 -- you can give me a call and stop by and read
- the manual yourself. (I'm afraid it can't leave the office, but I'll
- allow anyone to come in and browse through our library.)
-
- >Also, is there any way to install from 5.25" diskettes onto a machine
- >where the A: drive is 3.5"? I'm assuming the answer is no - just checking.
-
- Probably not. It's like DOS in the sense that you have to boot to
- install (fresh system), and there's really no way around that (with
- HPFS a consideration).
