  45. The UltraSound beats the SB 16 and M-Audio hands down in terms of sound quality.
  46. The SB emulation and Windows drivers both work under the 2.1b.  But, yes,
  47. there are no native OS/2 drivers (but the card has only been out about 3 
  48. months!).  I don't have to compromise.  I have both an SBPro and an UltraSound.

  50. Beware:  the SB 16 has hardware problems that Creative has admitted to
  51. (such as static and SB support flaws) that won't be fixed for months!

  53. Let these be your deciding factors.  Also, pick up a subscription to
  54. comp.sys.ibm.pc.soundcard.  It may help you to decide which card is right
  55. for your planned usage.
