  22. To answer your first question, you can get the 'xfeel' util from 
  23. ftp-os2.nmsu.edu.  This causes focus (and foreground) to follow the
  24. mouse.

  26. As for separating forground and focus, I don't know.
  27. Would it be possible to have a named pipe for the input to a program,
  28. and then have an xfeel like program send all keyboard input to the
  29. window which has the mouse pointer over it?
