  10. I'm new to the OS/2 newsgroups (and to OS/2), and I see that I can 
  11. FTP the beta release of 2.1 now.  I'd love to do this, but I have a 
  12. couple of questions before I attempt such a thing:

  14. 1) I'm running a 486/33 ISA, AMI BIOS, 8MB 60ns RAM, WD 2200 212MB,
  15.    with a JUMBO 250 tape drive piggybacked on my floppy controller.
  16.    If I install 2.1 beta, could I still use my JUMBO without buying
  17.    new software?  Would it require using FAT instead of HPFS?

  19. 2) I've seen posts that indicate a new 2.1 beta will be released in
  20.    February.  Would I be well advised to wait until then and install
  21.    the new beta, or could I install the current release and just
  22.    install patches for the February release?
