- The culprit is EDIT.COM (which is actually just QBASIC.EXE /EDITOR in disguise)
- It won't accept data from the OS/2 clipboard whether VIDEO_FASTPASTE is enabled
- or not. Actually, it does accept data but only enough to scramble like in your
- example above. Try pasting a real large chunk of text and you'll see.

- This was the case since 2.0 GA and has not changed in 2.1 beta.

- It should be noted that the same QBASIC editor does accept characters from the
- clipboard under MS-Windows, but so slowly that it makes paste operations
- useless for all intents and purposes. This is probably due to some sloppy
- programming in QBASIC rather than a problem with the Operating System.
