- I have two suggestions. The first is to use your reference diskette
- and try switching your parallel port to "enhanced" mode, if you model
- supports that feature. (Certain PS/2s can use DMA on the parallel
- port.)

- The other, assuming you are running with the OS/2 Service Pak, is to
- go to your System Setup folder and double click on Spooler. In one of
- those notebook pages you should be able to adjust the printing
- priority. Reduce it, and you should find your computer more
- responsive, although you may sacrifice printing performance.
