- OK, I finally installed the 2.1 beta last night. Many of you felt it was
- extremely stable. I remembe using the origional 2.01 beta and having few
- if any problems wiht it.
-
- I ran it fine for two hours last night. I altered the config.sys to create
- a RAM drive, a larger swapfile, and load dos high.
-
- Today (the next mourning), I have had 15 trap d and e errors in the past
- hour. That's right. The main thing is simply trying to close the icon
- editor, or another window that I never closed the last time my system
- trapped.
-
- It alll started with me trying to edit an icon (yes, I am a fool). Now I
- can not get all of my application to close so I can re-boot honestly. I do
- not have that line in my config.sys that prevents opened objects and such
- from being re-opened upon the next boot.
-
- This is really sad. I could take one re-boot a day, but now I am at the
- point where I am afraid to open an object.
-
- Has anyone experienced similar problems? I really don't want to go back to
- 2.0 ;)
-
- cheers,
-
