- I have just gotten a copy of MR FILE/PM from hobbes. It looks good - kind
- of like a graphic Norton Commander for OS/2. The docs don't mention much
- about defining menu options. I wanted to try running a program xxx.exe
- from a directory c:\aaa. I tried defining a menu to call a batch file
- which had:
- c:
- cd \aaa
- xxx
-
- It worked, but it seems MR FILE first calls an OS/2 windowed session, then
- opens a DOS session to execute the batch file. ---slow--- . Then when I
- closed the program, the DOS session closed, and I was left with an OS/2
- window that had a "press any key to continue" mssg. Pressing a key then
- closed the window.
-
- There must be a more direct way to do this that is faster, and without
- leaving a hanging OS/2 window to manually close. I have zilcho experiece
- with REXX, and my poking around with the help of Command Reference has
- been unfruitful. Can anyone make a suggestion how I can set up a menu to
- run program xxx from directory c:\aaa?
-
- Thanx - David
