- I just installed the 2.1 beta CD, and up until about 10 minutes
- ago, I thought it was really nice. 10 minutes ago was when I
- fired up TE/2 and logged on here. It is so slow (dragging my
- v.32 modem down to about 300 baud) that it is really unusable.
-
- Funny thing is, hitting the scroll-back buffer works pretty fast,
- but on-line is really wretched. Other things don't seem grossly
- slower than I'd expect from a 256-color mode.
-
- I installed the 800x600x256 driver -- I would have used a 16-color
- mode, except that didn't seem to be an option on the install.
- (I'm using a Video 7 VRAM-II.)
