- I don't know what I did, but now all my DOS boxes (including
- fullscreen WINOS2) are hiccupping. They'll run for a bit, then slow
- down to a complete crawl, then pick up again, then crawl. Even the
- mouse pointer in winos2 stops moving.
-
- I've tried playing with VIDEO_RETRACE_EMULATION, VIDEO_ROM_EMULATION,
- and even have set IDLE_SENSITIVITY to 100. No help there. I've tried
- killing everything that I have at startup. No change. I removed
- logdaem and the log$ device. Nuttin'.
-
- The only thing I've done to my system recently is to change my menu
- and title bar fonts for the desktop. But that was over a week ago,
- and this problem just materialized yesterday.
-
- Has anyone seen behavior like this and/or knows what's causing it?
-
- The system is a Packard Bell ISA 486/33, 8meg, 120mb (2xHPFS,1xFAT),
- Orchid F1280 S3 video 1024x768x256 (winos2 in regular vga mode, dos
- programs in regular vga except WP5.1/dos in 132x60), GA+SP 2.0 ...
-
- Thanks,
- Michael
