  15. Well, after my last posting about experiencing a severe system crash
  16. using Ray Gwinn's SIO driver (version 0.31, I believe) somebody told
  17. me that 0.34 is out and suggested I give it a try.

  33. So, in essense, nothing has changed from the last time.  Grrr -- this
  34. is *really* beginning to piss me off.  Of course, this did a number on
  35. my D: drive that I had to repair with CHKDSK (which means a 10 minute
  36. boot-up from the ^#$@! floppies!).

  38. This time I'm going to include *all* pertinent information and hopefully
  39. *somebody* out there can tell me what an idiot I've been and what to
  40. change to get this to work.

  42. First of all:  I am running OS/2 2.0 GA, Syslevel XR02000 (by the way, 
  43. *why* does it take over 10 minutes for the "Syslevel" command to give out 
  44. that info!?)

  46. Next...in my CONFIG.SYS file, the lines that pertain to serial I/O are

  58. I am running Waffle version 1.65 under DOS, I have COM_HOLD turned *on*.
  59. My Waffle startup program firsts starts up the X00v149a Fossil driver
  60. (also by Ray Gwinn) with the statement:

  64. I hope that somebody out there knows why this is happening and can
  65. provide a solution!  Thanks in advance.

  67. P.S. All this would be completely unnecessary if Tom Dell (the author
  68. of Waffle) would do a simple port of his UUCICO program over to OS/2!
  69. We're not asking for the entire program, JUST THE UUCICO PORTION!!!!!!
  70. He apparently "has his hands full with the DOS and Unix versions" and,
  71. IMHO, probably doesn't believe OS/2 is being used by more than a dozen
  72. people.  Should you wish to express your anger at him :-), or simply
