- I just saw a IBM Thinkpad 700C at an OS/2 users group meeting last
- night. There is no way they are getting out of the hardware business
- anytime soon. For anyone who HASN'T seen the Thinkpad 700/C, SEE one.
- They are completely awesome. There is a mouse joystick on the home row
- of the keyboard, people were loving it after about 10 minutes of use.
- By far the most awesome feature is screen. I could NOT tell the
- difference between the screen and a real VGA monitor. No ghosting and
- F-A-S-T! Other things included are awesome IBM keyboard (of course),
- removable 120meg hard drive, and ability to charge while running from
- wall power. It is a 486 and comes with 8megs of RAM. Educational price
- is $3300. BTW, nobody is going to have this monitor (which is from
- Toshiba) for at least a year, because IBM has bought all of them for
- the next 11 months.
