- I had a "COUNTRY.SYS problem" with the service pack. OS/2 was looking for
- COUNTRY.SYS (and probably the rest of the system-software) on drive D:.
- Using IBM1S506.ADD from the 2.0 disks and later the new beta-driver
- (SPB506.ZIP on software.watson.ibm.com) solved the problem.
-
- With 2.1beta the same problem, also solved by using the beta-driver.
-
- My C:-disk is a Quantum 80Mb IDE and D: is a Quantum 40Mb SCSI. The
- SCSI-adapter is a Future Domain TMC-830 (works with FD8XX.ADD!).
- The COUNTRY.SYS error disappears when I pull the power from the D:-drive,
- even when the adapter remains installed. But I think the problem is
- the Quantum 80Mb IDE drive, not the SCSI.
