I hope this is the correct group, and is not a FAQ.
A friend of mine recently installed 4M of memory in his computer and now the machine will not boot under os/2. He receives the following message:
The system detected an internal processing error at location
##0160:FFF64AE0 - 000D:AAE0
6002, 9084
0386:00D1
Internal revision 6.307, 93/03/01
The rest of the message says he should write down the location number and contact his service representative.
He has done this and IBM claims it is a problem with his memory. This sounds possible to me, but he is concerned that this is not the problem because he has no problem using this new memory with DOS 5.0.
Could this be a problem with the memory? Or is it an OS/2 bug? BTW, what exactly is the location number, a memory address?
He is also using verision 2.0 of os/2.
Any help would be appreciated. Please email to me, I will summarize and repost any answers. Thank you very much, in advance.
