  11. 1/ Repeated system hangs with Trap d when deleting files.  Solved by
  12.    rem-ing out the deldir statment in config.sys.  Annoying, since I
  13.    now can't retrieve deleted files.

  15. 2/ I can't print from winos2 3.1.  I've installed the printer carefully
  16.    (HPLJ III), made it the default, diddled around generally, but still
  17.    no luck.  When I start Write, I get a message that the printer isn't
  18.    connected (it *is*) or is wrongly installed, check print manager, etc.
  19.    I have done all I can think of, with no luck.

  21. 3/ Nupop, the POP3 DOS client, causes some problems.  It is a comms
  22.    program, and is talking to my modem on COM3.  Sometimes it causes
  23.    the whole system to hang.  (Yes, yes, I type ctrl+esc and wait
  24.    forever, etc.).  Cold boot required.  This happens when nupop attempts
  25.    to send mail out via modem.  
  26.    Another problem is that the keyboard dies -- but not the mouse.  With
  27.    the mouse I can continue to work with nupop, but the keys are completely
  28.    dead.  Other sessions and windows are fine.

  30. 4/ the statement DEVICE=C:\OS2\COM.SYS (3,38E,4) in config.sys had the
  31.    bracketed stuff removed by the installation (beta over GA 2.0).  
  32.    Actually, com3 worked without the () stuff in GA+SP, but it doesn't
  33.    in 2.1b.

  35. Overall impression: the 2.1b is (for me) a bit troublesome and not
  36. really faster.  I use it because it has the Windows 3.1 enhanced support,
  37. and I need that to run SoftQuad's Author/Editor SGML editor.
