- This really is a sad statement about Ati and/or IBM's assistance to
- developers. And the contrast is striking: I installed Windows NT the
- other evening and all went well, though, as with my OS/2 experience, I
- was stuck in plain vanilla VGA mode. I went looking for ATI NT drivers
- on Compuserve, hoping, at least, to find something and lo! there were
- new beta drivers for ATI boards using either the Mach32 or Mach8
- chipsets for NT (they were the sixth iteration of drivers). They work
- fine on my system (though NT is, um, rather slow).
-
- Even though I currently use Windows/DOS and have started to experiment
- with NT, I would like to think that I'd be able to have drivers for my
- video card when I try OS/2 2.1. It sure looks like I won't. Somebody,
- perhaps IBM, ought to do it!
