- I just installed a new 2mb ISA ATI graphics ultra plus in my 16mb
- 486dx/50 w/ 2.1beta. It seems to work well. I have it installed as a
- VGAWonder at 1024x768. Speed isn't impressive but I thought I'd try it
- this way for a while (it is the scrolling that is slow). I especially
- like that I can in principle do seamless Windows--the tradeoff being
- the acceleration of the 8514a.
-
- My question involves setting up WinOS2. My impression is that as long
- as my WinOS2 sessions are full screen, I can use the Windows drivers
- and therefore get some of the benefits of the native hardware--as long
- as I stay fullscreen. Is that correct? If so, has anyone tried ATI's
- beta Windows drivers?
-
- And if I go back to 8514a, can I also use ATI's Windows drivers (that
- is, use the card's mach32 hardware as long as I'm in WinOS2?
-
- Thanks for any light you shed on this for me...
