- Summary: what is c0000005 while booting?
- Keywords: os/2 halt failure c0000005
-
- My OS/2 2.0, from the official distribution and unmodified
- now dies while booting.
-
- At the end, it prints c0000005 and then stops completely.
-
- And now it won't boot from floppy disks, either.
- When it asks for disk one, the light never goes out,
- it doesn't do anything if I put disk one in.
- Even ctrl-alt-del won't get it out.
-
- The only change made recently is a replacement of the
- VGA card, but it has worked since then. This is the
- first try with the floppies since the VGA change.
- The old VGA died.
-
- I presume the c0000005 is an error code, but I don't
- know where to look it up.
-
- Thanks for any help. email reply prefered.
