  22. I'm using OS/2 2.0 GA+SP and the printer set up worked OK for me.
  23. Otherwise I think that WP 5.2 fW isn't really optimized for OS/2:it
  24. eats up 40 % of the system resources (leaving only 38-40 % free in my
  25. two systems). It might be this that makes the program prone to random
  26. crashes and weird behavior. As a comparison, Word for Windows 2.0
  27. leaves 70 % free system resources. Even the WP File Manager consumes
  28. surprisingly large slices of the resources. Also, I have had to
  29. increase the DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT to 4 MB in order to avoid the "not
  30. enough memory" messages with WP 5.2.  BTW, in plain vanilla Windows
  31. 3.1, WP 5.2 fW doesn't appear to use much more system resources than
  32. other programs, memory usage is quite heavy, however. Is it the Win
  33. 3.0 code in OS/2 2.0 that WP 5.2 is not comfortable with?

  35. I remeber reading from somewhere that when free system resources go
  36. down to 30s and below, Windows tends to get unstable? Is it so?
