- I seem to be having problems getting gtar (from the gtak201b.zip package) to
- restore any *.exe files. The backup ran fine, and a "tar -tv" shows the files
- as being present. When I do a "tar -xvw" it ask me if I wish to restore the
- first exe file, I see a bunch of disk and tape activity (it looks like its
- restoring), and no error messages are generated. However, a dir command does
- not show the file as being present.
-
- Normally, I'd just use a utility to see if perhaps it simply has the wrong
- attributes, but I can't do that right now. You see, 2.1Beta caused me
- enough grief that I reformated my disk, and I'm trying to restore my old
- 2.0+SP system, including those utilities. In other words, I'm in PANIC mode!
-
- Any suggestions?
