- PC Week reviewed two OS/2 programs in their Jan 18 issue: Polypm/2 a
- remote control package and Micrographics designer for OS/2.
-
- The review of Designer was rather disappointing apparently this is a
- simple port (using mirrors) of the windows version. They said its speed
- was virtually the same. Also it failed to properly use long file names
- on HPFS disks. They also reported a number of problems using this
- version with the CSD, which are reportedly being fixed. These problems
- were primarily with the 32-bit graphics drivers. Sounds like it was
- completed before the CSD! On the positive side they did say that it
- overcame some of the limitations of the windows vesion such as limited
- support for graphics modes and memory restrictions.
