- The reasons that IBM should charge for the upgrade have nothing to do
- with Bill Gates or MicroSoft. I don't think there is anybody around
- that actually believes that they made a damn cent on the 2 million
- copies of 2.0 that are out there (they probably took a big loss), and
- with 2.1, you also get MMPM/2, a product that runs $125 with
- educational discount. All of the enhancements and new programs (there
- is also a slightly crippled version of FaxWorks there), they are
- supposed to give away free to people who paid $49 for the upgrade from
- Windows just to get the disks?!
