  14. Ahh, to be able to post again.

  16. Anyway, I have GTAK, an AHA-1520 SCSI card and an Exabyte 8500 tape
  17. drive.  When I try to do a tar on my D: drive (~120 MB), my system
  18. hangs* partway through.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I am
  19. running WPS and everything else normally and hope to set the backup, 
  20. with Cron, to run in the middle of the night, but I can't if this
  21. keeps happening.

  23. *The interesting thing about this hang is that the mouse pointer still
  24. reacts, but I am unable to type into any window or do anything.  I am
  25. running OS/2 2.0+GP.  Does this have something to do with the backing
  26. up of active system files?
