  11. I tried Fax/PM, the new applet included in OS/2 2.1 beta, after applying
  12. a total reformat/reinstall.  With the clean 2.1 beta, I have been able to
  13. fax out from WordPerfect (windoze version) by simply printing to the Fax/PM
  14. printer driver/port, after setting up following the instruction in the
  15. README file.  You can use ATM fonts, TT fonts, and the quality of the fax
  16. received is just as good as that of a 200 dpi version of what one can expect
  17. and get from a 300 dpi Laserprinter.  It's great!  This means that what
  18. the receiver will see is just what you see on the screen, layout, fonts, and
  19. any graphics.  Ah, I am VERY happy with this little applet.

  21. My previous posting about Fax/PM should be corrected!

  23. Problem is: whenever Fax/PM used the fax/modem, it seems that the fax/modem
  24. port is no longer available for other comm programs, even if after closing
  25. Fax/PM.  There are something remain in the memory, blocking the whole system,
  26. slowing it down, and preventing other comm apps from accessing the modem
  27. port.
