- WANTED
- What is the best combination of interrupt and memory address for using
- a CDROM drive with os2. I have a texel 3024 internal drive that is supported
- with a Future Domain 850M 8bit SCSI interface card that is also suported with
- the OS2 2.1 Beta. My problem is that Os2 won't recognize the cdrom.
-
- INTERRUPTS
- I can select from IRQ 3 or IRQ 5 but my mouse controls IRQ 3 on
- Com2. The card supposedly does not use an interrupt under DOS but it might
- under OS2. I am currently using the default of IRQ5.
-
- MEMORY ADDRESSES
- The card is currrently using CA00h (default) in the primary
- address space. The other options are C800h, CE00h and DE00h in the primary
- address range and E800h and EC008h in the extended range.
-
- Can some of you fellow netters out there that are successfully running
- CD-roms, please email me the settings for your interface card (especially if
- you have the Texel and/or the Future Domain). Please e-mail to save bandwidth
- and I will post a summary back to this group in a couple of days.
-
- Also, is there any other thing I can do to make OS2 recognize the
- CD-ROM. I have Cyrix 486DLC if that makes any difference.
-
- Thanks a bunch in advance,
- Scott
