  20. I experienced the same result. I am also using NEC CDR-74.

  22. 1) Using "regedit" to add T128 driver after NT is up.
  23.  
  24.     Exactly the same result as the above. The system hangs
  25.     in between of (or after) checking the CD-ROM reader and
  26.     before the hard disks file systems check as long as the
  27.     CD-ROM reader is powered on at startup time.

  29. 2) Editing setup floppy and try to install NT with T128 driver.

  31.     T128 driver is successfully detected. The copy of the
  32.     NT files from CD-ROM to hard disk goes smoothly except
  33.     the CD-ROM does not have T128.SYS file.
  34.  
  35.     After the copy, the installation procedure fails to
  36.     decide the system configuration. (Any files need to
  37.     be edited?) The setup is aborted.
