  12. Here's a little variation on the usual FAQ about the format of Windows HLP
  13. files. I want to know the format of the annotation files that a user can
  14. create and associate with a particular help file.

  16. Question is therefore "Does anyone know the format of WinHelp's .ANN
  17. files?" Or is this another closely guarded trade-secret of Miscrosoft's?
  18. Please email me and if there are _any_ responses I'll summarise to the
  19. group.

  21. Why do I want to know? I have written a number of HLP files and whilst
  22. using them made annotations about certain topics. Now I want to get the
  23. text out of the annotation files and into the RTFs. (These annotations are
  24. basically proofing notes which now need to be merged in with help text.)

  26. BTW I know the format is NOT described in the W3.1 SDK documents I've
  27. looked.
