- Here's a little variation on the usual FAQ about the format of Windows HLP
- files. I want to know the format of the annotation files that a user can
- create and associate with a particular help file.
-
- Question is therefore "Does anyone know the format of WinHelp's .ANN
- files?" Or is this another closely guarded trade-secret of Miscrosoft's?
- Please email me and if there are _any_ responses I'll summarise to the
- group.
-
- Why do I want to know? I have written a number of HLP files and whilst
- using them made annotations about certain topics. Now I want to get the
- text out of the annotation files and into the RTFs. (These annotations are
- basically proofing notes which now need to be merged in with help text.)
-
- BTW I know the format is NOT described in the W3.1 SDK documents I've
- looked.
-
- Regards, Trevor.
