  11. Here is an EXCEL/NOVELL problem hopefully someone knows the answer to.

  13. Whenever the current EXCEL spread sheet is saved a backup copy is made.  The
  14. data files are on a Novell file server.  The problem is that the back-up file
  15. is given a unique alphanumeric name like 36cf8e.  This means
  16. that the backup files accumulate and fill up the disk.

  18. Microsoft say's that EXCEL backup files are always called xxxxx.BAK and
  19. wasn't much help.  Something appears to be turned on somewhere to cause
  20. this backup file creation with the encryted name.

  22. Does anyone know what is turned on and how to turn it off. Thanks.
