  17. I've received several answers, some posted to c.o.m-w.m, some by e-mail.
  18. Here's a summary of what I've received:

  20. Suggestion: Don't worry about having a display font for Palatino
  21. because your printer has Palatino as a resident font, so your document 
  22. will print just fine.

  24.     My response: I considered this option, in fact I've been doing
  25.     this for a few weeks. But I've gotten tired of using WYSIWYG
  26.     software in a non-WYSIWYG mode, which is what happens if you
  27.     don't have a good display font for Palatino. And that's why I
  28.     want a display font that resembles Palatino.

  30. Suggestion: Use the Microsoft TrueType font Book Antiqua, which comes
  31. as part of the TrueType Font Pack for Windows and as part of Powerpoint
  32. for Windows.

  34.     My response: I tried Book Antiqua and am very happy with it.

  36. Suggestion: Purchase Atech FastFonts, which includes a Palatino clone
  37. called Palomar. Fast Fonts can be converted to TrueType, which would
  38. give you what you're looking for.

  40.     My response: I already have the Book Antiqua font, so I don't
  41.     need to purchase a font handler/converter.

  43. Nobody knew of any PD or shareware equivalents for Palatino.
