  11. OK guys and gals!  They are ready!!  As of 12:30 pm PST, the newest version
  12. of the 24X drivers are available at wuarchive.wustl.edu in the directory
  13. pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS/windows.

  15. Now to answer some questions I received:
  16.  
  17. 1) this file is the original that I dowloaded from America OnLine out of
  18. the Diamond Customer Support area.  They were posted there yesterday
  19. (Thur, Jan 21).  This version is called 2.03 - it looks like they only
  20. fixed three of the drivers.  At least that's how many had 1993 dates on
  21. them...

  23. 2) things that now work: I tested the following briefly-- Word for WIndows
  24. tools/options works fine.  Microsoft Works for Windows works fine.
  25. PC Magazine's WinBench 3.1 works without giving those irritating
  26. horizontal lines (but I cannot give you my winmark score :-)  Procomm plus
  27. for Windows didn't have big problems, but the occasional messed up pixels
  28. haven't shown up yet.

  30. 3) speed seems to be fine.  I don't remember what my rating was on the
  31. old ones, but I get 7.4M (on the old WinBench) at 800x600x256 on a 
  32. 386-25.  I don't think they are any slower, maybe even faster...

  34. ...I just checked and the three files with 1993 dates are: wsp48024.drv,
  35. wspdpbf.drv, and wspdpsf.drv.

  37. All of the above mentioned testing was done at 800x600x256
