  26. I had a similar problem before.  But then my HD crashed and I had to
  27. re-install everything from scratch and the problem miraculously
  28. disappeared.  The only difference that I can think of is that formerly
  29. I had win3.0 and then install win3.1 as an upgrade.  When I rebuild,
  30. it make sense to install win3.1 straight in.
