- I was wondering if anyone had information on Microsoft C 6.0. The
- company I am working for is still using Microsoft C 5.1 because they
- maintain that 6.0 was very buggy and did not work properly. The thing
- is, they are not using any optimizer switches on the 5.1 compiler because
- they apparently don't work correctly.
-
- Might there be a 6.1 version of the compiler, or some sort of patch
- release that fixes any/some of the bugs in 6.0? Is anyone aware of a
- published list of known bugs in 5.1, or 6.0?
-
- Please don't respond with a suggestion to use MSC/C++ 7.0, as the
- owner of the company is not willing to switch to a compiler which supports
- C++ right now. (Don't ask me why, but that's his feeling).
-
- Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
