  22.   Yep - I just took the driver for the Commodore controllers and made the
  23. changes for the DMA control.  The Commodore and GVP controllers are quite
  24. similar since they both use the same Western Digital SCSI chip.  The primary
  25. differences are in the DMA control interface.  I do have a driver I wrote
  26. for my homebuilt SCSI interface that includes some error checking and 
  27. support for SCSI tapes.  I want to change the Commodore & GVP drivers to
  28. include the same features my driver has.  I was also thinking that since
  29. the Commodore and GVP drivers were so similar, they could be combined and
  30. the appropriate vendor-specific code conditionally compiled.

  36.   I seem to remember that the answer to that question was that the FAQ
  37. reflected the PH distributed version, although I would think that the FAQ
  38. could indicate that the 680x0 and hard disk support was available with
  39. the update patches.
