- If you can use setserial to make 38400 really be 115200 as someone here
- said you could (I have no knowledge of this) then yes, of course getty
- can lock at that speed.

- Getty will lock at whatever speed you desire by removing the autobauding
- (\A) character from the CONNECT string in the appropriate /etc/default file.

- But it's really quite pointless to run a modem line higher than 38k, since
- the throughput is not likely to be anything near that, even for text and
- v.42bis in my experience.
