- Yes, I want a NIX-thing in my computer, so I'll ask here
- wich should I choose! I have trie 386bsd for a while, but I have no
- experience on Linux...
-
- My system :
-
- ISA 386/40 + 387/40
- 8Mb RAM, (64kB cache)
- Archive ???? 60MB tape drive. (DC2000 tapes, attached to floppy port)
- Maxtor 7120A (130MB, AT-IDE)
- Trident 8900C (Can get Tseng ET-4000, too)
- Pro Audio Spectrum 16bit
- Sony CD-ROM drive (connected to PAS, via SCSI(?) 8-bit)
- + I am buying another HD before installing Linux/386bsd... (100-200MB)
-
- So, what I would like to know is WHY should I choose Linux,
- and not 386bsd? Is there some way to get my CD-ROM to work with Linux?
- What about the tape drive? Is the source code available on CD?
-
- If there is somebody out there that could help me, please answer,
- e-mail or to this news group...
