- I recently moved my stuff into a new case, and in the process
- my seagate ST01 has ceased to function. At boot I get the message
-
- Seagate SCSI BIOS Revision 3.3
- scsi host adapter failure.
-
- Needless to say, I want to know a little more about what is wrong,
- since I am in need of this adapter to get my tapedrive going.
-
- I defined the necessary DEBUG's in st.c and seagate.c and
- away I went. At boot, the kernel reports:
-
- scsi: 1 hosts
- scsi1: phase = BUS FREE
- (ad nauseam)
-
- In seagate_st0x_reset()
- scsi bus reset
- scsi1: phase = BUS FREE
-
- scsi detected 0 tapes etc.
-
- So, is the ST01 really dead? Can anyone suggest further caourse
- of action? Any more debugging I can do?
-
- Thanks
- Johan
