  34. The group was attempted to be split about 2 months ago, and failed. Thus
  35. according to policy, no new discussions for splitting should be brought
  36. up for 6 months. (Around May then from what I remember).

  38. As a general rule, from what I have seen splitting groups does nothing
  39. to help traffic. As a matter of fact, it tends to increase as things
  40. get cross-posted. Overall the flood of articles does seem to be slowing a
  41. little lately.
