- How about this. BOTH! Have a table that explicitly assigns a
- ID/LUN to a minor num, and anything that's not covered gets added as
- before. ie it scans as before and checks to see if the combo is an assigned
- location or not. If so, fine. If not give it the next available minor number.
- You could even reserve the first n minors for future use, and start at n+1.
- As someone said, there really arn't going to be that many disks/controllers
- on the system.
