- I installed the new SLS gotten from tsx last week. Now any communcication
- program I use has problems. I get no feedback from the modem. It will dial
- OK and connect but no feedback is given. (So I can't remotely login).
- For example:
- from Kermit
- I set line /dev/ttys1
- then I type c(onnect)
- at this point I should be able to type 'AT' and get 'OK' as a response
- but nothing
- yes i did ATE1 and ATQ0 still nothing.
- if i dial 'atdt1234567' i can hear it dial and connect but i get not terminal
- feedback.
-
- Similar things happen in xconn and Seyon (which i had no problems with before i
- upgraded SLS)
-
- Are my devices hosed ? What should be the major/minor numbers for the modem
- device ?
-
- NOTE: noticed ttyS0 and ttyS1 (renamed to ttys0 and ttys1) . Was this wrong to
- do ? My Xconfig had /dev/ttys1 defined for my mouse so i did it.
-
- thanks
