  14.  I installed the new SLS gotten from tsx last week. Now any communcication
  15. program I use has problems.  I get no feedback from the modem. It will dial
  16. OK and connect but no feedback is given. (So I can't remotely login).
  17. For example:
  18. from Kermit
  19. I set line /dev/ttys1
  20. then I type c(onnect)
  21. at this point I should be able to type 'AT' and get 'OK' as a response
  22. but nothing
  23. yes i did ATE1 and ATQ0 still nothing.
  24. if i dial 'atdt1234567' i can hear it dial and connect but i get not terminal
  25. feedback.

  27. Similar things happen in xconn and Seyon (which i had no problems with before i
  28. upgraded SLS)

  30. Are my devices hosed ?  What should be the major/minor numbers for the modem
  31. device ?

  33. NOTE: noticed ttyS0 and ttyS1 (renamed to ttys0 and ttys1) . Was this wrong to
  34. do ? My Xconfig had /dev/ttys1 defined for my mouse so i did it.
