- Ok, disclaimer. Yes I've read the FAQs and every scrap of
- information I could find, including all the postings before this
- one. I've set all the right jumpers and checked cacheable settings.
- (read: as far as I know)
-
- I cannot get SLS 1.0 to like my ST02. I have an AMD 386/40 64K
- cache with 8M RAM, a paradise SVGA with 512K and the HD is a ST296N.
- I've got 60M of space on there ready and willing to accept Linux!!!!
-
- When booting, I get the message:
-
- > WD8013 not found at i/o = 280
-
- any ideas?
-
- When booting from the conventional Linux .99pl4, there are no
- problems with my SCSI device. I would install that way, but the
- simplest SLS way sounds soooo much easier. If I could get the raw
- way explained a little better, I would do that, but as it stands,
- I'm confused why SLS isn't kicking in.
-
- PLEASE email personal mail. I hesitated sending this post, and
- would hate to swap comp.os.linux if I'm rowing the wrong way.
