  25. I got similar messages when booting a kernel written with dd. The
  26. boot succeeded, nevertheless. After writing a newer kernel version to
  27. the same floppy, the message disappeared.
  28. Maybe it's a physical problem with your disk (weak sectors or some
  29. such). Can somebody with more knowledge (regarding this problem ;-) 
  30. confirm this?
