  10. I'm looking for some help concerning coming up with a list of SLS stuff
  11. to backup routinely, especially before upgrades to any of the SLS kits.

  13. I wrote a quickie shell script to do a 'file' on each of the files that
  14. get installed from SLS, then did the 'egrep -v' from hell to get down to
  15. just ascii files...then I pared it down to the attached.
  16.  
  17. The goal is obviously to only back up config files since at any time
  18. reloading all of SLS is a snap with sysinstall.  Can people please take
  19. a look at this list and tell me what they think is missing?

  21. Be forewarned that I didn't install 'X' yet so stuff like the Xconfig
  22. file is missing.  Same goes for anything TCP/IP-related. Also, I want
  23. to specifically exclude home directories (for now) since what I'm looking
  24. to come up with is a backup list for System Software.
