  10. In trying to debug INGRES's lock driver I am being stumped by two things.
  11. First getservbyname() returns the wrong port number. This happens regardless
  12. of the service required.

  14. Secondly how can you debug the child process in gdb? This problem appears
  15. often when dealing with daemon processes.
