- I have a quick question that I can't seem to address in the FAQ:
-
- What is required to achieve more than 256 colors under X? I guess the
- first question should be: Is it possible using the XFree version of
- X? And the second should be: What do I need to do to convince it to
- take full advantage of my card / monitor (which can handle some 16.7
- million colors at 1024 x 768)?
-
- If this is a commonly addressed subject, please send me email along with
- a pointer to where I should research.
-
- Thanks in advance for any help!!
