  25. Hi.  First, thanks very much to Kenneth Osterberg for doing the Xview
  26. port!  The Open Look interface is wonderfull.  Looking at the screen, 
  27. it is tough to tell the difference between my Linux machine and a 
  28. Sun workstation.  I am truely impressed.

  30. I too am having some difficulty with shelltool.  Kermit behaves very
  31. strangely when run inside the shelltool.

  33. If I type ^C while in a kermit session, I get kicked back to the
  34. kermit command line.  The kermit interupt character is ^\, so ^C 
  35. should just be passed to the remote host.  Kermit works fine in xterm.

  37. Characters that are meant to be sent to the modem from kermit 
  38. (like AT commands) sometimes get echoed to the screen.  In a really
  39. wierd case, I exited kermit in the shelltool, opened an xterm, ran
  40. a new kermit in that xterm, and then gave a connect command to the new
  41. kermit.  Output from kermit still appeared in the shelltool, which was
  42. just sitting idle at the bash prompt!  It was like the shelltool was 
  43. refusing to give up the tty or something.

  45. I am running xview3L3.  Anyway, this isn't a real problem because 
  46. xterm works fine.  I am just curious as to what is causing this.  Has
  47. anyone else tried kermit in shelltool?
