  13. CUTCP (telnet program for PCs) offers quite a nice interface to telnet to
  14. any other machine. I specially like scrolling back, and monitoring
  15. data arrivals in other sessions using slash charaters flipping left and
  16. right.

  18. I either need 
  19. 1.  A better telnet program that offers CUTCP-like features, or 
  20. 2.  modification to VC code so as to 
  21.        i. Enable scrolling back to previous n'th line. And,
  22.       ii. A status line at the bottom of screen that shows
  23.           status  of other VCs [arrival of new characters, bells etc.]

  25. I face these problems typically when I work in many VCs. For e.g.
  26. to check if ftp'ing is over in other VC, I have to switch back and
  27. forth quite often. Similarly  if there is talk message in a VC which I
  28. am not currently in, most possibly, it goes unnoticed.

  30. A status line showing status of all VC's will surely be great help.

  32. Is there any such utility already available? Or has anyone tried to
  33. implement this kind of a thing?
