  23. Although the Oak chipset is not supported in the current X release it
  24. works ok at 800x600x2 with vga2 generic in Xconfig.  I have a 20MHz
  25. Elonex PC-320X running X386mono under Linux SLS 0.98p4 ok with this
  26. setup:

  36. I could only get a stable 800x600 display with the 28MHz clock, but
  37. 800x600 is very close to the edge of the screen with this clock.  I
  38. tried just about every method of calculating the ModeDB values using
  39. info from the Oak data sheet (sc, xclk and so on) but I'm using a
  40. 'triple-sync' monitor (cf. multi-sync) and it didn't work at 36MHz.

  42. Elonex were very helpful in providing technical info on the Oak chips
  43. but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has a colour server with
  44. Oak support :-)
