  14. I'm having some problems getting xdm to work on my 486.  I'm
  15. running linux 0.99.3.  The machine has an Orchid Prodesigner IIs
  16. card, and I've configured Xconfig appropriately (i think!).  I
  17. can 'startx' without problems, but when I try to run xdm it
  18. comes up with garbage on the screen.  I hit 'return', and it 
  19. sometimes draws the login box, but then the system locks up.
